In his eight years at the Patent Office, Marc was involved in more than fifty opposition cases that reached oral proceedings.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">In 1997 he moved to the Industry, spending five years as an in-house Patent Counsel for Schneider Electric Industries, a major manufacturer of electrical distribution, industrial control and automation devices. Working directly with the R&amp;D department, he managed a portfolio of rights in the fields of low, medium and high voltage power supply, which led him to take on several litigation procedures in Europe, China and the United States. Mark\u00a0also conducted IP due diligences for strategic mergers and acquisitions.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">When he transitioned to private practice in 2002, this unique experience allowed him to support and advise a wide variety of clients as associate and partner with various firms in London and Paris. In 2016, Mark\u00a0co-founded the multi-disciplinary and pan-European Alatis network. His practice is primarily devoted to <a href=\"https:\/\/alatis.eu\/en\/areas-of-expertise\/patents\">patent<\/a> and <a href=\"https:\/\/alatis.eu\/en\/areas-of-expertise\/industrial-design\">design<\/a> litigation, patent prosecution and intellectual property counselling, including non-infringement and invalidity opinions.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Marc holds a Postgraduate Degree in European Patent Litigation (Strasbourg, France \u2013 2005), a Masters of Law (University of Lille \u2013 2004), a degree in IP Law from the C.E.I.P.I. (Strasbourg, France \u2013 1993) and a Masters Degree in Electro-Mechanical Engineering (ENSEM Nancy, France \u2013 1985).
