François LEGRAND

French & European Patent Attorney

François LEGRAND graduated both from the French engineering Catholic School of Arts et Métiers (ECAM-Rennes) and the Center of International Studies in Intellectual Property (CEIPI-Strasbourg). He has a dual scientific and legal curriculum.

François LEGRAND started his career as patent engineer in the industry within the Intellectual Property Department of the French Government Defense, before practicing in two major Intellectual Property firms in Paris.

With more than ten years of experience, François LEGRAND joined the pan-European Alatis network in 2019.

He supports and advises a wide variety of clients ranging from start-ups to multinationals through SMEs, and in particular in various technical fields including aeronautical, automotive and agricultural manufacturers and suppliers, GreenTechs, defense industries, materials, industrial processes, civil engineering, medical devices, packaging, electrical engineering, robotics, and home automation.

François LEGRAND deals with all aspects of patent law and practice in France and Europe, and his practice is primarily devoted to patent prosecution, infringement litigation and intellectual property strategy, including patentability and freedom to operate analyses.
