Jean-Benoit BUSNEL
Attorney-at-law, European Patent Attorney
Jean-Benoît is an Attorney-at-Law and a European Patent Attorney.
He graduated from the French National School of Chemical Engineering (ENSIC-Nancy) and from the Center of International Studies in Intellectual Property (CEIPI-Strasbourg). He holds a Master in IP Law from the University of Paris and from the Institute of Business Law. Jean-Benoit is also a former student of the Naval College (Brest).
Jean-Benoît started his career as a Navy officer and was involved in a number of overseas marine operations. After leaving the Navy, he joined a major Intellectual Property firm in Paris and became a French and European Patent Attorney. In 2002, he joined a US law firm as a partner in London, where he registered with the Law Society of England & Wales. He returned to Paris in 2005 where he worked as a partner in two established and renowned IP firms.
Jean-Benoît is one of the founders of the pan-European network Alatis. His practice is mainly dedicated to patent prosecution and litigation.
His broad experience covers patent drafting, freedom-to-operate analyses and infringement proceedings. He advises SMEs and large industrial companies in various technical fields including car manufacturers and suppliers, packaging, cosmetics, sports goods, luxury goods, robotics and the defense industry.
