Augustin de SEVERAC

Augustin de Séverac graduated from Ecole des Mines de Nancy and from Strasbourg University. Augustin holds both a master degree in civil engineering and a master degree in Intellectual Property Law.

As an alumni from Ecole des Mines, Augustin has a broad technical background in mechanics, physics, electronics and IT, with a major in IT. As a patent attorney, Augustin worked both in French and in English, in various technical fields such as automotive industry, aircraft industry or nuclear industry. Augustin is fluent in French, German and English.

Before joining Alatis, Augustin has worked for ten years as a patent attorney and as a partner in a major French Law firm. He could establish there long term relationships with his clients. His practice is primarily devoted to patent prosecution, patent litigation, and intellectual property counselling, including non-infringement opinions, invalidity opinions and contract reviews. Augustin has been involved regularly in patent strategy including patentability and freedom to operate analysis.
Augustin was involved in many oral proceedings when handling opposition and appeal cases before the European Patent Office.
