Patent Engineer, European Patent Attorney

Clément DEVIERS is a qualified representative before the European Patent Office (EPO) and a Representative before the Unified Patent Court (UPC). He is a generalist patent engineer, holding a dual French-German degree from EPF – Graduate School of Engineering and the University of Applied Sciences in Munich, specializing in automation and production.

Clément DEVIERS also has a strong legal background and is a graduate of the Diploma in Intellectual Property from the Centre for International Intellectual Property Studies (CEIPI) in Strasbourg. He holds a Diploma from CEIPI (D.U. Patents & Trademarks) and an LL.M. in Intellectual Property and Competition Law from the Munich Intellectual Property Law Center (MIPLC).

He assists his clients across a wide range of services: patentability studies, freedom-to-operate analyses, due diligence, drafting patent applications, and prosecution in various technical fields, including aeronautics, automotive parts, mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, industrial processes, electrical connectors, and agricultural machinery.

Before joining the ALATIS network, Clément DEVIERS worked for over seven years as a patent engineer in both private practice and industry, drafting numerous patent applications for renowned clients such as Safran, Airbus, Alstom Grid, and Kuhn. Clément DEVIERS also worked independently for several years as an entrepreneur specializing in the translation of patent texts and claims between English, German, and French.
