Patent Engineer, European Patent Attorney
Pierre BRUNEAU is a European Patent Attorney and a graduate of the Centre for International Intellectual Property Studies (CEIPI), where he earned the Diploma in International Intellectual Property Studies, specializing in patent law. He also holds a Master’s degree in Neuroscience from Sorbonne Université, reflecting his interdisciplinary scientific background spanning biophysics, modeling, and engineering.
He began his career in intellectual property in 2017 by joining NOVITECH, where he currently practices as a patent engineer and European Patent Attorney. His work spans the full spectrum of patent law, both in advisory and contentious matters.
Pierre BRUNEAU works in a wide range of technical fields, with particular expertise in physics, optics, mechanics, electronics, imaging, and biomedical devices. His early research experience in France (ICM) and the United States (UCLA) allows him to handle complex inventions at the crossroads of life sciences and technology.
His work includes:
- Patent acquisition: patentability studies, drafting, and prosecution before national and international offices;
- Rights exploitation: licensing, collaboration agreements, IP audits;
- Rights defense: oppositions before the EPO, validity and infringement analyses, FTO opinions.
