Raphaël DANA
Intellectual property, New Technologies and Personal Data Attorney
Raphaël Dana is a member of the Paris Bar. He began his career with an American law firm in 2001 (Duane Morris, Philadelphia, PA); he is perfectly bilingual in French and English.
After this initial experience, he joined a French law firm where he focused on Intellectual Property, New Technologies and Personal Data, and subsequently developed these practices.
Raphaël is involved in complex litigation and commercial negotiations, with a strong focus on intellectual property and new technology issues (personal data, financial or health data, software, cybersecurity, etc.). His litigation practice takes him before the French supervisory authority (CNIL), French courts and arbitration tribunals.
His practice covers the world of life sciences (biotechs, clinical research organizations, pharmaceutical laboratories), new technologies and, more generally, he advises innovative software players in the healthcare and finance sectors and also in more traditional industries.
Raphaël is an active member of several French and international associations:
• INTERNATIONAL BAR ASSOCIATION – Officer of the Technology law committee
• ITECHLAW INTERNATIONAL TECHNOLOGY LAWYERS ASSOCIATION – Chair of the Tech M&A Committee, Chair of the Young Lawyers section
• PHARMA LICENSING CLUB FRANCE (PLCF) – Member
• ASSOCIATION FRANÇAISE DES CORRESPONDANTS AUX DONNEES PERSONNELLES (AFCDP) – Member
For several years, he has been co-opted by his peers and clients in WHO’S WHO LEGAL as Thought Leader in the personal data, cybersecurity and information technology categories, and in BEST LAWYERS in the new technologies and personal data category.
