Salma Khaled has practised law for nearly thirty years. Admitted to the Tunis Bar in 1997 and to the Paris Bar in 2025, she is also Professor of Private Law at the Institut des Hautes Études Commerciales de Carthage (IHEC). She does not choose between the courtroom and the lecture hall, she commands both.

Her field of choice is intellectual property. She has taught it for over twenty years, litigated it, advised on it, and has been appointed by Tunisian courts as an expert in copyright matters. Her practice spans the full spectrum: copyright, patents, trademarks, and industrial designs. She also supervises doctoral theses in the field and sits on PhD examination panels.

In arbitration, she has acted as arbitrator and as counsel in several domestic and international proceedings, including under ICC Rules. She also trains future arbitrators in international arbitration law, in France and abroad.

On the institutional front, she chairs the Intellectual Property Task Force of the ICC Tunisia Arbitration & ADR Commission, co-edits its Bulletin. She sits on several ICC Tunisia committees, covering arbitration, intellectual property, banking law and digital matters.

A prolific scholar, she is the sole author of a Commercial Law Handbook and an Annotated Case Law Collection on Intellectual Property (reissued in 2024), and has contributed to numerous collective works and specialist journals published in France, Tunisia and Lebanon. She speaks regularly at international conferences in Paris, Istanbul, Beirut, Milan and Cairo.
